John Pearse 80/20 Bronze 10-47 Acoustic Guitar Strings, Extra Light
This is a set of John Pearse 100XL extra light 80/20 bronze acoustic guitar strings.
Gauges: 10, 14, 23w, 30w, 39w, 47w.
I am a big fan of 80/20 bronze acoustic strings for their inherent brightness, clarity, percussiveness and resonance. As a predominately electric player, I like my acoustic to be quite jangly/clanky and loud so these strings really suit me - IMO.
When it comes to indie string makers John Pearse is the cream of the crop with that underlying company ethos of perfectionism driven by the late man himself. He said: “They must be the very best strings available anywhere, with clear, singing highs and rich, sonorous lows, and able to withstand the constant climate changes in my continental-hopping existence.”
Fun fact: John Pearse strings are packed in paper envelopes treated with rust-resisting chemicals so they stand a good chance of lasting in your guitar case! Also, the 80/20 bronze wrap wire used to make these sets is sourced from Gotterberg, Sweden.
